We’re excited to welcome you to your upcoming in-person National Highway Institute (NHI) class at Pennoni’s Training Center in Mechanicsburg, PA!

NHI has confirmed your participation in Course: FHWA-NHI-130053, Bridge Inspection Refresher Training.

Please note that this course registration, accessed via this webpage and payment link, is only for administrative fees. An additional administrative fee of $225 is payable to the host organization, Pennoni, to cover the cost of the facility and administrative service expenses.  Course cost of $925 is separate and payable through FHWA/NHI.

If the noted administrative fees are not acceptable, you have an option to cancel the course with NHI or sign up for the course with other hosting organization.

Prerequisites

PARTICIPANT PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENT

There are two (2) prerequisites to complete before class:

  1. ALL participants must have previously successfully completed Course 130055/130055C (“Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges”) or 130056/130056C (“Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges for Professional Engineers”), or a similar FHWA-approved bridge inspection course equivalent for participation in this course and must bring a course completion certificate bearing their name to the first day of the class. The passing score for all prerequisites is 70% or better.
  2. ALL participants must have created a Blackboard account and registered for this class as a “Learner”.

 

Before enrolling, students must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for a refresher class. This includes verifying that their prior certification is current and that they are within the permitted renewal timeframe, including if there is a grace period offered by the governing agency. Registration signifies that the student understands and accepts responsibility for meeting these prerequisites. Students who do not meet these prerequisites may be required to complete the full initial training to be certified by the governing agency.
