Prerequisites
Before enrolling, students must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for a refresher class. This includes verifying that their prior certification is current and that they are within the permitted renewal timeframe, including if there is a grace period offered by the governing agency. Registration signifies that the student understands and accepts responsibility for meeting these prerequisites. Students who do not meet these prerequisites may be required to complete the full initial training to be certified by the governing agency.
Students enrolling in a virtual (live online, or “synchronous”) course are responsible for meeting all virtual attendance requirements consistent with EPA, PA Department of Labor and Industry, PA Department of Environmental Protection, and/or OSHA guidance as applicable. This includes: (1) consenting to continuous video and audio participation and recording of video for coursework documentation; (2) maintaining a functional internet connection for the duration of class; and (3) being fully attentive and free from distractions for the duration of class. Students may not multitask, drive, participate in calls or meetings, browse the internet, or engage with others during class. Students who do not meet these requirements will not receive completion or renewal credit and may be required to retake the course at their own expense.
