4-Hr. Lead Repair, Renovation & Painting (RRP) Refresher - Mechanicsburg

This course meets the 5-year refresher requirements to maintain Certified Renovator status under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule, required for any renovation work in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities. Individuals previously certified as a lead abatement worker or supervisor may also receive Certified Renovator status by completing this course. Certification is limited to Pennsylvania and any other state without an EPA qualified state program. Companies must also be registered as a Lead Safe Certified Firm with the EPA.

Before enrolling, students must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for a refresher class. This includes verifying that their prior certification is current and that they are within the permitted renewal timeframe, including if there is a grace period offered by the governing agency. Registration signifies that the student understands and accepts responsibility for meeting these prerequisites. Students who do not meet these prerequisites may be required to complete the full initial training to be certified by the governing agency.
